As interdisciplinary designers we are focused on developing materials, textiles and functional surfaces for architecture and interior. Our approach is concept driven and includes material research, experiment and prototyping. Recent projects integrate interactive technologies, smart materials and photovoltaics.
A special interest is the interaction of light and matter. The experimentation with light is a continuing theme and explores biophilic design principles. We develop adaptive applications and kinetic surfaces that actively contribute to a transition towards climate neutral architecture by interacting with sun light on the building envelope. Solutions for energy minimization in buildings are combined with possibilities to use the aesthetic potential of light as a design element.
